Zack Quintero has dedicated his career to standing up for working people and restoring public trust so that government works for every New Mexican in each corner of the state.
The son of a public school teacher and plumber, Zack watched his mother organize to improve our public schools and he witnessed his father's determination, faith, and resilience as he faced racism at job sites for his skin color and for speaking Spanish alongside co-workers. His parents inspired a commitment to activism and the fight for human rights.
A lifelong New Mexican, Zack has worked to improve our communities on the local, county, and state levels, most recently serving on the state Medical Advisory Team and as the State Ombudsman for New Mexico. In these roles, he supported the statewide response in keeping New Mexicans safe and carried out investigations into predatory practices of abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of the most vulnerable New Mexicans.
